From the very foundation of our building, La Vista on Lavaca is built to the highest standards of green building. Where feasible, we use construction materials, from wood to granite to brick, from areas no further than 50 miles from Austin, cutting down on diesel fuel emissions. Our construction partners use a water retention recovery system that reuses the waste water from the construction pours, saving hundreds of gallons of water. And we use low VOC paint, releasing fewer vapors into the air.

You’re reminded of La Vista on Lavaca’s commitment to living green the moment you arrive. There are parking spots that feature plugs for electric cars, and we’re partners in car sharing programs.

Since green living is truly a community initiative, each floor has a state-of-the-art recycling system for glass, aluminum and newspapers.
